| SO YOU WANT TO ADOPT A POM? Because we want these dogs to be in wonderful, "forever" homes, we are very careful about our adoption process. It is similar to adopting a child from an adoption agency: we take an application, check references, and do a home visit in order to get to know you. A donation, presently set at $400 for adults, $450 for puppies, is required to help with medical expenses (shots, spay/neuter, dental, and other treatments) for all the Rescued Poms. | FOSTERING AND OTHER WAYS TO HELP We badly need foster homes so that we can save more Poms. These homes are responsible for food and loving care for the dogs, as well as transportation to the veterinarian. We pay all medical expenses. Foster homes must be within about 50 miles of our primary location (Lake Jackson, TX). There are other ways to help: transportation from shelters to Rescue or to a new home and donations are always welcome. |
