Introducing:
Second Chance Champagne
Adopting a Pomeranian from Second Chance Poms is not like buying a piece of furniture; it is more like adopting a child.  The new owner must be able to provide a good home for the dog, and the dog must be a good match for the new owner.  Here is the story of Margo Rieves' search for a Pom:
My Search for a Friend
My little Pomeranian, Zak, died about 3 years ago and I decided not to get another dog right away.  But about a year ago, I became lonely and I began my search for the perfect dog.  I wanted to adopt from the SPCA or the Humane Society, so I would go every few weeks, but found nothing.  Finally, I heard of Barbara McClatchey and her Second Chance Poms, so I gave her a call.  She happened to have one that was ready.  After being interviewed and talking with Barbara a few times, I picked up Champagne on my birthday from her foster mom.

I have raised many puppies in my lifetime.  I've gone through the potty training, chewing, etc. . .  It was so nice to get a dog that was already trained and past all of that.

Champagne has become a very important member of our family and never have I enjoyed a dog so much.  She takes trips with us and always behaves like a little lady.  It is so nice to come home and have someone waiting for you, wagging their tail, happy that you're home.  Champagne and I have turned out to be a perfect match for each other.
